- Milton CAT held two safety and equipment operation training sessions at both their Batavia and Clifton Park locations.
- Milton CAT was featured in the Nursery Lines publication and the annual Membership Directory.

2010 Beautification Award Winners
This year many NYSNLA members from around the state submitted entries for the 2010 Beautification Awards Program. It was another record year for entries with a total of 27 submissions. Our judges demonstrated careful consideration in evaluating each entry and found all projects remarkable. Of course, several of the entries stood out and deserve recognition as the 2010 Award Winners!

What is Social Media, Anyway?
Ok, so we have heard about social media, but do we really know what it is? Once we understand what social media is and how it works, the next logical question is should I be using it for my business.
According to an article on ANLA Today, social media is like attending a huge cocktail party. The attendees make up some people that you know but would like to make a professional connection. There are a few people that are acquaintances that you share brief hellos and small conversations, then there are your good friends which you settle down with to catch up on the events in the past week. Other attendees might be customers that you want to speak to them about their business. Now if we were to bring this conglomerate of interactions to the internet: Now we have "Social Media."
