    About CNLP Certification

Certification is a tremendous accomplishment in the green industry and an excellent way to demonstrate one's commitment while also promoting the industry to the general public. It is the purpose of the New York State Certified Nursery & Landscape Professional (CNLP) Program to raise and improve the professional standards of the nursery, landscape and garden center industries. The title of Certified Nursery & Landscape Professional (CNLP) will be given to individuals who have demonstrated a high level of competence in the principles and practices of the green industry. The CNLP program encourages and promotes continuing education and training of all nursery, landscape, and garden center staff, including owners and managers. Most importantly, as one collective group, we strive to have this high level of attainment recognized by the gardening public as well as within the industry.
