Ed Dore, Senior Lifetime CNLP-George L. Good Gold Medal Award
This special award is given to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to horticulture in the State of New York. Ed has been the leading contributor to the Horticulture Industry in the State of New York for over forty years, and has set the standard for quality leadership and for going above and beyond in providing service and recognition to this industry. He is also the first person to win all three awards given out by this Association, another illustration of his impact and the extent of his service to the industry as a whole.
Donna Moramarco, CNLP-Hall of Fame Inductee
This recognition is given to a long standing member, educator, scientist or writer for their impressive achievements in advancing the nursery, horticulture or landscape industry and bettering the lives of their fellow green industry professionals. Donna first organized the NYSNLA's Leadership Forum in 2009, which has continued to grow every year under her guidance and leadership. She has also worked tirelessly to establish a working relationship between this Association and Cornell University; which has given us access to the valuable resources available at Cornell including working with their faculty, using their buildings for meetings and forums, and working with their Horticulture School to provide greater education and opportunity to the students enrolled there. Because of Donna's effort and hard work, NYSNLA is now establishing this working relationship with other Horticultural Colleges around this state.
The Flander's Group-Recognition of 25 Years
NYSNLA acknowledged its 25 year partnership with The Flander's Group with a special award. Accepting the award was Valerie Webster, Senior Vice President of Flander's Group. In recognition of this milestone, past presidents joined The Flanders Group in celebrating this long-standing relationship.
